Youth Involvement

We believe young people have the potential to make a difference in their communities right now. And many will also become the leaders of tomorrow. BCACL works to build awareness and leadership skills among young people. They have proven to be our best champions of inclusion!

Stuff We've Done

BCACL produced the award-winning "12 Inclusive Activities; A guide for youth Group Leaders” (see below) to help build youth leadership skills. We have also trained a group of youth with and without disabilities to give presentations to other youth and adults about the importance of including everyone in our communities. We have funded youth to attend conferences and workshops and supported projects across BC to make sure that youth have a voice in creating recreation and transportation services in their towns and cities.
