BCACL looks forward to working with CLBC and the Ministry of Social Development to ensure that CLBC's evolution is driven by the community and will result in good quality, individualized support for all persons with developmental disabilities and their families.

BCACL representatives met with the new Minister of Social Development, Stephanie Cadieux, on Thursday, October 13. We stressed that a transparent, community driven external review of CLBC is a necessary part of beginning to address the systemic issues within CLBC. We also urged the Minister to ensure that CLBC is adequately funded so it is able to evolve into a sustainable, strong, innovative organization.
