Take Action

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.

Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead

Many important advances in the community living movement have been made possible by committed individuals who take the time to make a difference - whether it be a few seconds to sign a petition, a minute to fill out a survey, 30 minutes to write a letter to the editor, or an hour to meet with an MLA. We're working to make a difference but we need your help.

BCACL sends out a monthly e-newsletter that includes a "call to action" section. Subscribe to the newsletter here.

Community Living BC Funding Crisis

Community Living BC, the crown agency that provides support for people with developmental disabilities in BC and their families, is experiencing a funding crisis. BCACL - with the help of families and supporters across B.C. - has been speaking out in favour of an immediate investment that would address the needs of families and individuals who are languishing on waitlists and not receiving the services they need. Read more about what you can do to help.
