BCACL's membership includes family members, people with developmental disabilities, and nonprofit service providing community living associations. Individuals and family members who are members of a local member agency are automatically members of BCACL. Local community living associations pay a membership fee to BCACL based on the size and operating budget of their organization, and representatives from each association have a vote at the Annual General Meeting.
Individuals may also become members of BCACL directly for a nominal membership fee, but do not have a vote at the AGM. In addition, BCACL has a number of individual lifetime members and may have associate members - agencies who do not meet the full membership criteria, but who have an interest in BCACL activities. Associate members do not have a vote at the AGM.
