Community-based Vocational Supports: Services that are designed with the individual and their family to meet their unique needs (employment support, job skills training and development, volunteerism, life skills training, rehabilitation, etc.) with a view toward integration into one’s community.
Pottery Works and Glass Works: The Community Living Society encourages individuals to participate in artistic endeavours by providing a studio, tools, machines and a variety of opportunities to display their works at art exhibitions.
Residential Supports: Supports are provided in a variety of settings, including semi-independent living apartments, and shared living.
Home Sharing: A unique lifestyle opportunity that helps to integrate and build relationships between individuals, families and communities. Support is provided in a home shared by the person supported and those providing the supports.
Respite Supports are provided to Home Share Providers and families.
Life Skills: Training and support is given to assist those people who are living semi-independently or with their families to manage their homes and the activities of daily life.
Training & Development Workshops:
CLS: A Way of Thinking: A three day seminar for all new employees providing opportunities to learn about CLS values and history, meet families and supported individuals, and participate in Mandt training.
Mandt (Crisis Prevention & Intervention) (CPI): A series of workshops that provide employees with a new understanding and level of confidence in their ability to interact with people.
Respect Begins with You: Discussions on fostering a workplace where everyone is treated with respect and not subjected to discrimination, harassment or unfair treatment.
Docusystem Workshop: A workshop based on National Crisis Prevention Institute Course material on appropriate ways to document critical incidents.
Leadership Development Skills: A series for Coordinators & Assistant Coordinators, or for those who wish to develop their leadership skills.
Conflict Resolution: A one day session providing basic principles of good communication, understanding conflict and opportunity for role-play practice.
Various custom-designed in-service sessions for small groups and teams as required.
